Interesting! These twins were born in different years

Twins are usually known to share a lot of things. And yes, we expect them to differ in certain areas but hardly could anyone have imagined a difference in birthday. And that’s exactly what has happened.

A set of twins have been delivered on different days and different years in San Diego, California.

Jaelyn Giselle was born one minute before midnight on New Year’s Eve while her twin brother, Luis Fernando was born two minutes after midnight on New Year’s Day. Hence, their birth certificates bear 2015 and 2016 respectively.

The twins were born to mother Maribel, 22, and her husband, Luis Valencia at San Diego Kaiser Permanente Zion Medical Centre.

“We were actually watching the clock. So it means like two birthday parties back-to-back,” their father Luis Valencia said.

Both babies are happy and healthy.

Their parents had to cancel their New Year’s Eve plans as they weren’t expecting them for another month..
