“I’ll name my goats after Buhari and Aisha” – Nigerian says

After a Nigerian was arrested and refused bail for trying to disturb public peace by naming his dog “Buhari”, another Nigerian has vowed to do “worse”.
“I’ll go get a he-goat and name it Buhari,” Udoro Elohor Izevbekhai commented on a Facebook thread. He added he’d also get a she-goat and name it after Aisha, the president’s wife.
The thread was an original post by another Nigerian who condemned the police for arresting Ogun State trader Joe Fortemose Chinakwe after he named his dog “Buhari”.
A mallam, who said he’s offended by the action because his father is named “Alhaji Buhari”, reported the trader to the police.

State police spokesperson Abimbola Oyeyemi said:
“The man bought a dog and inscribed ‘Buhari’ on both sides of its body. One mallam lodged a complaint and when our men got there, we found out that it was true. You know such thing can cause serious breach of the peace and ethnic or religious unrest. We are charging him to court for conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.”
Ernest Okoduwa, a critic of President Muhammadu Buhari, posted on Facebook there was nothing wrong with Chinekwe’s action.
“I think one of the complainers only introduced the twist that his father’s name is Buhari to make it look as if its is not about the President,” Okoduwa said calling refusal of the police to grant the suspect bail “insane.”
Izevbekhai commented on Okoduwa’s post thus:
Another commenter replied him and the others who were lining behind Okoduwa and Chinekwe:
We don’t know how Aisha Buhari, who reportedly called Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose “an unchained mad dog”, will react to this..
