Husband beats wife black and blue for aspiring to be senator
Eunice Leshunet only told her husband of her intentions to contest for a Senatorial seat in the 2017 Kenya general elections and she got the beating of her life in return.
In a post on Facebook, dated December 30, 2015, Leshunet reported the incident and asked for “every one’s” prayers.
The post reads
This da brutality I got from man I called father to my kids after declaring my candidature for senatorial seat come 2017. I thank God am live n strong. This will not stop me from achieving my dreams. I need every one prayers.
It is not clear if the aspiring Kajiado county senator took legal action against her husband, Tuko.co.ke reports.
Cases of domestic violence have been on the rise in recent months over suspected love triangles, infidelity, parental or spousal neglect but none has been as a result of political ambitions, the news website added.
