Here’s the Borno picture that’s making Nigerians cry

The picture below has driven many Nigerians to tears.

Nigerians ask if this picture of Yakana and her starving baby is from Somalia, and not from terror-torn Borno State. It’s from an IDP camp in Bama. It was shot by Gbemiga Olamikan when information and culture minister Lai Mohammed visited the camp.

Some of the Nigerians are pledging to donate items to make life easier for some of the country’s internally displaced persons (IDPs).

There are over three million IDPs in Nigeria, many of them displaced by Boko Haram terrorists. At least 1.2 million of the IDPs are children. Illiteracy, poverty and global warming is compounding their misery.

When @AyoolaAshiru re-shared this picture on Twitter, Sunday, many Nigerians responded by asking how they could donate to “soften” the hardship of IDPs.
