Hazardous! 35 Road Safety officials killed on duty in one year
At least 35 regular marshals of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, have been killed in the line of duty within the last one year.
The Niger state commander of the FRSC, Susan Ajenge, revealed this on the floor of the Niger State House of Assembly.
She said seven of the said number were from Niger State.
According to her, the officers were trying to enforce simple safety regulations when they were killed.
