Gugu Zulu: South African Racing driver dies climbing Kilimanjaro for Mandela Day

The Mandela Foundation has announced the death of South African racing driver, Gugu Zulu.
Zulu died while trying to climb Tanzania’s Mount Kilimanjaro for a charity linked to Nelson Mandela, the Foundation said in a statement.

The statement said details were still sketchy.
“What we do know is that Gugu experienced problems breathing. The medical team supporting the trek put him on a drip and they descended the mountain with him.
“We are informed that the medical teams tried everything possible to save his life.”
The climbers were due to reach the summit today marking Mandela Day..
