"Give us N100 million in 24 hrs, take Falae" suspected abductors demand
The men believe to have kidnapped Olu Falae have promised to release him as soon as they’re paid N100 million only.
Falae was reportedly abducted at about 1:00 p.m. The kidnappers made their demands about two and a half hours later.
They reportedly told the politician’s wife the demands must be met in the next 24 hours.
Falae, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation and chieftain of Yoruba group Afenifere, was abducted on Monday – the day he clocked 77.
About 20 gunmen reportedly invaded his farm in Ilado village, Akure North area of Ondo state and forcefully took him away.
At least 50 policemen have been deployed to rescue the politician.
