“Give Patience Jonathan her $5.9 million” – court orders EFCC
April 6, 2017
Nigerian anti-graft agency, last December, persuaded a court to freeze a bank account allegedly belonging to former first lady Patience Jonathan.
The account contains $5.9 million.
EFCC said the money was “dirty” proceeds of corruption. But Mrs Jonathan insisted it was as clean as President Muhammadu Buhari’s hands.
A Federal High Court in Lagos unfroze the account today.
