Girl, 15, charged with murder of mum and mum’s boyfriend

15-year-old Destiny Garcia has been charged with the murder of her mother, and her mother’s boyfriend.

Reports have it that the Brooklyn teen confessed during questioning to the double murder of her mother, Rosie Sanchez, 38, and her mother’s boyfriend, Anderson Nunez, 40.

Sanchez was shot multiple times in the chest while Nunez was shot and stabbed, police say.

Their bodies were found, Monday January 4, in their Sheepshead Bay apartment.

Destiny told the police she had been physically abused once by her mother and that she killed the couple in self-defence.

However, the police are not having any of that.

“We don’t believe this is at all, initially, an act of self defense. She went and got a gun from another individual that we’re trying to find right now, to commit the homicide,” said Robert Boyce, NYPD’s detectives chief.

Police say the duo were murdered on the 27th of December 2015.

She is going to be tried as an adult..
