Fulani herdsmen hacks farmer to death while peeling maize in Taraba

Fulani herdsmen has hacked a man to death in Taraba in a gruesome manner on Friday
According to witnesses, the man, Musa Tijani, a member of ECWA church  Ibi, Taraba state; who also work as a security man with Union Bank Ibi, Taraba was attacked in his farm by fulani herdsmen while peeling maize.
There has been confrontation in the past between Fulani herdsmen and farmers; farmers are not too comfortable with the way Fulani herdsmen invade their farms and destroy their farm produce.
Fulani herdsmen in Nigeria have vowed not to accept cattle ranching because the country’s geographical location was not suitable for it.
According to media reports about six months ago, it was revealed that more than 15, 000 persons  fled their homes and taken refuge in IDP camps in Taraba state. The individuals who are mostly farmers, fled their communities due to renewed attacks by suspected Fulani herdsmen. Suspected herdsmen had launched deadly attacks on Gazabu, Kungana, Tukun Ruwa, Utsua Daa and Kpenkpen villages, among others, leaving at least 11 people dead and scores injured.
Musa Tijani has been buried on Saturday 2 December, 2017
