Fresh university graduate gunned down by suspected cultists in Imo
A fresh graduate of Madonna University was reportedly killed by suspected cultists in Imo state on Sunday night.
Kelechi Ibezunma was reportedly shot around 8:50pm by the gang who demanded for his phone.
The victim, a 2016 graduate of Physiology, had gone to a shop to buy bread and milk for his dinner when the gunmen accosted him.
He refused to give up his phone and was shot, reports say.
Kelechi died at the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri, where he was rushed to by sympathisers. He was reportedly identified through an identity card found in his possession.
Kelechi’s killers allegedly robbed several occupants of some hostels around the back gate of Imo State University on the same night.
The deceased had visited the institution to visit a friend, reports say.
