Four burglars arrested in Bayelsa, stolen items recovered

The Bayelsa state police has arrested a group of four suspected buglers who operate within the outskirts of the state capital, Yenegoa.

Joshua Teboda, 20; Ayebatoyefa Godspower, 18; Biekuromo Godspower, 16; and Evans Obuju, 21, were arrested for breaking into the victims home and making away with their electronics and other household appliances.

Asinim Butswat, the police spokesperson in the state revealed in a statement that the suspects who are residents of Trinity Church Road, Agbura have been involved in several incidents of burglary and robbery in the metropolis.

“Items recovered from the suspects include two 60-inch plasma televisions, two LG sound speakers, two pressing irons, two DVD players, one battle axe and other household items,” Asinim Butswat said.

Butswat disclosed that the suspects confessed to the crime and were linked to other robbery cases in Yenagoa metropolis.

“Investigation is ongoing and they will soon be charged to court,” he assured.
