Former Plateau Govenor’s ADC with 3 children burnt to death in house
On Monday, Anthony Kwanmi, a retired Assistant Superintendent of Police with 3 of his children, Theresa, Kerry and Emmanuel, were burnt to death in an early morning fire that engulfed their house at Jenta-Adamu, Jos, Plateau State.
His wife, Charity and daughter, Evelyn, survived, but sustained severe burns and are currently on admission at Plateau Specialist Hospital.
An eyewitness said the fire started after there was an electric spark from a meter in the house.

Kwanmi and his children reportedly went to bed and locked their doors at about 2.30 am after watching a football match between Nigeria and Sweden in the ongoing Olympics Competition in Rio, Brazil.
However, neighbours were woken up by the cries for help from the children. Kwanmi reportedly made efforts to open the door to free himself and the children, but the thick smoke from the fire proved stronger..
