Five teachers sacked in Kebbi for impregnating SS3 student

A NAN report says five teachers of the Polytechnic Academic Staff Secondary School Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi state, have been sacked for allegedly impregnating an SS3 student of the school.

A source is quoted as saying that the teachers (names not given) confessed that they had been having sexual affairs with the student, identified only as Sa’adatu.

The student was also expelled from the school after a committee set up by the school to investigate the matter found them guilty.

It was gathered that after the investigation into the matter, it was difficult to identify who among the teachers was responsible for Sa’adatu’s pregnancy.

NAN quotes a source as saying: “The committee submitted report on Monday and recommended that all the five teachers should be dismissed from service immediately.

“The management have dismissed the teachers and the victim was also expelled from the school.

“When the committee interrogated each of the teachers, they confessed that they have been having sexual relationship with the victim separately, so, they were sacked immediately based on the committee’s recommendations.”
