Filling station, hotel, event centre belonging to alleged Badoo ringleader shutdown
Having declared one Alhaji Alaka Abayomi Kamal, a suspected Badoo cult kingpin wanted the Lagos State Government on Wednesday, January 3, shut down a Petrol Filling Station, a Hotel and Event Centre belonging to him.
Recall that the police had on December 22, last year, recounted Alaka’s connection with series of well-orchestrated killings and nefarious activities of the cult group in Ikorodu and Epe areas of the state.
In a statement made available to newsmen by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Steve Ayorinde, the structures situated along Ijebu-Ode-Itoikin Road in Sabo area of Ikorodu, were ordered sealed in pursuant to Section 60 of the State’s Urban and Regional Planning Law of 2010.
Ayorinde said, “The Lagos State Government is joining the Nigerian Police in asking the said Alaka to come out of hiding and submit himself to the law in his own interest.
“The State Government has also enjoined the Police to offer members of the public a reward for any useful information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect”.
The commissioner also assured the public of their safety at all times. “The government is once again asking its citizens to go about their businesses without fear. We will leave no stone unturned in keeping the State safe in 2018″, he concluded.
