FG set to receive N180bn Abacha loot from US

The Federal Government is set to receive $500 million (about 180 billion) looted by former Military Head of State, General Sanni Abacha.
This has been made known by the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.
Malami said after Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting that the development was the outcome of negotiations between the FG and three countries – United States, United Kingdom, and France.
FG had, few months ago, recovered $322 million looted by Abacha from Switzerland.
President Buhari met with Donald Trump months ago, where the United State’s president assured that his government was ready to repatriate the looted sum.
