FG Declares July 15 Public Holiday to honour Late Buhari

The Federal Government has declared Tuesday, July 15, a public holiday in honour of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away on Sunday in London.

This announcement was made on Monday by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo. The one-day holiday complements the seven days of national mourning earlier declared by President Bola Tinubu.

The gesture is part of a series of tributes being paid to the late president, whose death has drawn condolences from world leaders and citizens across Nigeria. National flags have been ordered to fly at half-mast throughout the mourning period.
