“Family helped me clean up after Karabo Mokoena murder” – Alleged killer boyfriend
The 27-year-old man accused of his killing Karabo Mokoena has told the court that his family assisted him in cleaning the house after he committed the crime.
Sandile Mantsoe appeared before a Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
He was alleged to have burnt Karabo after killing her.
The deceased’s mother was reportedly in a state of despair when she arrived at the court, while Mantsoe appeared unmoved.
Mantsoe, according to reports, told the court that his family “helped” in cleaning his house after the gruesome act.
CCTV clips reportedly captured Mantsoe’s family cleaning the apartment and leaving with linen and other things.
The suspect reportedly pointed out the scene in the clip where he dumped his girlfriend.
Further hearing on the case was postponed until May 24th, and the suspect was remanded in police cells.
