But the marital quest of a Nigerian divorcee may have churned up something not so good.
The unnamed web and mobile products designer reached out to blogger Mike Ile about his plans to marry again.
The post generated some of these comments.
Some laughed at him for apparently disqualifying the “lowly endowed”.
A lady lashed out at him for having “too much taste”.
Ile later released a post scolding his female followers for not offering the man warm embraces. The blogger raised a major point when he asked how people would have reacted if men reacted to a husband-seeking female divorcee this way.
“I made a post about a 45yr old, 6ft 1′, Yoruba divorcee who is searching for a wife,” the blogger wrote.
“He listed the ‘physical’ qualities he likes in a woman.
“I have read most of the comments from a lot of women. Many called him names for wanting a working class lady. Others said a 45-year-old should not be interested in beautiful women. They spoke like, at 45, he should take whatever he sees, because seeking a top rate woman would be asking too much.
“While some of these comments were hilarious, I also wondered how it would be taken if it was a 45-year-old woman that listed the qualities she wanted in a man and men came on the thread to call her names like her life was over.
“Will these women swallow it as humour or fact? Someone even said he is not willing to take responsibilities and that’s why he needs a working class lady.
“But would these women accept jobless men? Would they deliberately take ugly men in the name of ‘a good heart is better than beauty?’”
