EFCC arrests former DSS Director-General in Abuja

The former Director-General of the Department of State Services, Ita Ekpeyong has reportedly been arrested by the EFCC.
Punch said the arrest was made at wasma 46, Maman Nasir Street, Asokoro, Abuja, on Thursday afternoon. The EFCC men were said to have arrived in three buses and some patrol vehicles accompanied by over 20 armed policemen.
The officials reportedly searched the house for over two hours but nothing was found.
Lawal Daura, the recently sacked DG of DSS had previously prevented the arrest of Ekpeyong despite a court order.
Reports also say that the order came from the Acting President Yemi Osinbanjo after he had a meeting with the acting Chairman of the EFCC, Mr Ibrahim Magu; and the new DSS boss, Matthew Seyifa, on Wednesday.
