Edo: Man saves “dying” beggar with N50 “pure” water as police turn blind eye
A Nigerian, with help from another concerned fellow, recently showed kindness to a crippled beggar in Benin, the Edo State capital.
Police reportedly drove past the beggar, who seemed to have lost consciousness, without stopping to help him.

“As I drove along James Watt Road, I noticed a disable guy, laying helplessness in the middle of the road,” Dion Osagie shared on Facebook, on March 11.
“I pulled over to check what was going on. People assumed he was dead and afraid to get close not to have a (police) case.
“Many cars drove by including a police truck without stopping to observe or see what was going on. Many business owners watched while some were recording.
“It took me just 50 Naira pure water to revive him.
“We live in a country where there is no emergency response. If you have an emergency without help, you are most likely going to die. What a wicked nation.
“A better day for my generation,” he wrote.
