Many see Obaseki’s victory as an opportunity for APC Governor Adams Oshiomhole, who’s been governor for eight years, to pull the strings from the back seat for another four years.

They say it’s nothing short of Oshiomhole’s third tenure.

Opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), alleging “massive rigging”, rejected the development.

Obaseki won in Akoko-Edo LGA, Ikpoba-Okha, Etsako West, Etsako East, Etsako Cenral, Owan East LGA, Ovia North LGA, Oredo LGA, Uhunwomnde,  Igueben LGA, Egor LGA, Owan West LGA.
