Don’t politicise soldiers’ deaths – Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari has implored Nigerians to resist the urge to politicise the recent killing of soldiers by Boko Haram terrorists in Borno.
There has been public outrage over government’s seeming lackadaisical reaction to the soldiers’ plights since news of the incident broke days ago.
Buhari said on Sunday that his government was on top of the matter to ensure there isn’t a repeat of the incident.
“We must resist the temptation to play politics with the tragedy of the deaths of our soldiers,” he said on his official Twitter.
We must resist the temptation to play politics with the tragedy of the deaths of our soldiers. They are heroes on the frontlines, fighting to make Nigeria a safer place for us all. Rest assured that the circumstances that have led to these deaths will be comprehensively addressed.

The Army on Saturday threatened to sue anyone or group found sharing videos of Boko Haram insurgents killing its operatives. It described the videos as “well doctored propaganda materials from enemies”.
