Delta: Mother dumps “snake” baby after pastor allegedly demands N52,000 for deliverance

A woman has reportedly been arrested in Sapele, Delta state for dumping her baby at a junction because a pastor allegedly told her the baby was a “snake”.

According to Sapele Oghenek who shared the development, the woman, identified as Amara Emeka, said she was told by one Apostle Paul Andrews to provide a sum of N52,000 for the baby’s “deliverance”.

Amara, a resident of Macphason near Komi Rd, reportedly said she decided to do away with the baby since she could not afford the said sum.

The baby was reportedly found around 4:30am on Sunday morning at Green Egbedi, along Reclamation road in Sapele.

The good Samaritans took the baby to a nearby police station.

Apostle Paul Andrews allegedly told Amara to provide N52,000 for her “snake” baby to be delivered.

The baby’s mother, Amara, reportedly showed up at the station moments later to explain that the pastor’s revelation had scared her into dumping the toddler.

She was reunited with her baby.
