Confirmed 2019 Election Result: Buhari takes Kogi
President Muhammadu Buhari has also emerged winner in Kogi State, defeating closest opposition Atiku Abubakar by a narrow margin.
Buhari polled 285,894 votes while Atiku polled a total of 218,207 votes.
Total number of registered voters in the state is 1,640,449 while the total number of accredited voters is 570,773.
The number of total votes cast is 553,496 while the total number of valid votes is 521,016.
32,480 votes were rejected.
The result makes it a total of five states out of the six that have been announced so far that the President has won.
The collation of election results is currently ongoing in Abuja. This is the fifth out of 36 states to have been officially announced.
