Cleric, 63, sexually molests 2-year-old child, says his “zip opened by itself”
A cleric identified as Musa Mulo has confessed to defiling a 2-year-old girl in Uganda.
The 63-year-old Imam who is married to three wives, said his trouser zip opened on its own accord.
Mulo was said to have damaged the little girl’s private parts.
According to a police prosecutor, Janat Kitimbo, Mulo committed the act in the year 2012 after the toddler visited his residence.
Mulo was also said to have snatched the girl into a room, and sexually assaulted her.
“I carried that child, put her on my laps and I just saw my zip opening by itself,” Mulo told the court.
He was consequently sentenced to a life in prison by Justice Margaret Mutonyi.
The judge, while giving her ruling, described the Imam as a danger to the society, one that should be kept away from children.
