Catholic priest dies four days after escaping from kidnappers
Rev. Fr. Dr Louis Odudu, a priest of Wisdom Catholic Chaplaincy of the Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun in Delta State, is dead.
The priest died on Wednesday, just four days after he escaped from the hands of kidnappers in the state.
Rev. Odudu reportedly died in a private hospital after he complained of pains and demanded to be taken to the hospital.
He was ordained as the priest of the Catholic Diocese of Warri in the year 1987 as well as the former Assistant Secretary-General at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria.
Odiudu was said to have returned to Nigeria just five months before he was kidnapped.
Rev. Fr. Dr Benedict Ukutegbe, the Director of Social Communications, Catholic Diocese of Warri, confirmed the death of the priest but also declined to speak on the cause of the death.
