Buhari finally listens to Nigerians’ cries, to visit troubled Mambilla Plateau in Taraba

President Muhammadu Buhari has finally listened to Nigerians’ concerns and is set to finally visit the Mambilla Plateau in Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State today.

Buhari, according to NAN, is expected to make the trip before departing for Ghana later.

He is expected to meet with traditional rulers and other stakeholders in the state to encourage the locals to embrace peace and shun all forms of violence.

A recent communal clash in the region had reportedly claimed the lives no fewer than 20 persons and led to massive loss of properties – including cows.

Most of the clashes in Mambilla Plateau are said to arise as a result of ethnic division.

Buhari continues to receive wide criticism for his reluctance to visit several troubled parts of the country since assuming office.
