Buhari confirms Adeosun’s resignation, appoints Zainab Ahmed new finance minister

The presidency has confirmed finance minister Kemi Adeosun’s resignation and announced her replacement.
Adeosun’s resignation comes on the back of damning allegations that she forged her NYSC exemption certificate.
Minister of State Budget and National Planning, Mrs. Zainab Ahmed has been appointed as the new finance minister.
Ahmed will replace Kemi Adeosun who tendered her resignation today with immediate effect.
Ahmed, a Kaduna native, obtained her first degree in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University in 1981, after-which she proceeded to Ogun State University for her MBA.
