BREAKING: Senate rejects Magu as EFCC Chairman again
March 15, 2017

The Nigerian Senate has, again, refused to confirm Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, as the substantive chairman of the anti-graft agency.
It is the second time the Senate, who deliberated on Wednesday, would be striking Magu out.
The development is coming despite that President Buhari had sent a letter urging the Senate to confirm Magu.
The Senators voted against his confirmation.
The DSS had written a letter to the legislature, seeking the disqualification of the Acting EFCC Chairman.
DSS insisted that Magu is not fit to head the anti-graft agency because he lacks integrity.
