LASU best graduating student delivers baby girl 24 hours after convocation

It’s all joy in the family of Mrs Elizabeth Orefunwa.
Barely hours after she was crowned best graduating student at the Lagos State University (LASU), the heavily pregnant woman was delivered of a baby girl.
The beautiful blessing arrived on Thursday.
Orefunwa, 29, graduated with a CGPA of 4.74 in Accounting Education, the best result in LASU for the 2015/2016 academic session.
“Before I got married in February 2016, my CGPA was at 4.72, that was in 400L First Semester,” she said.
“It is with the grace of God that I ended the Session with 4.74 which happens to be the Best CGPA in my Set.”
Barely 24 hours after she won academic prestige at LASU’s 21st Convocation, Orefunwa was delivered of a baby girl on Thursday.
“The journey through the institution was not easy; it took me seven years of writing the UTME before I finally gained admission in 2012,” the married woman had said.
We’re sure she carried that pregnancy for two years more, at least.
