BREAKING: Atiku emerges winner of PDP presidential primaries

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will finally have his name on the ballot paper as PDP’s presidential candidate in the 2019 election.

Atiku defeated Senate President Bukola Saraki, Sokoto Governor Aminu Tambuwal and former Kano State governor Rabiu Kwankwaso in the party’s primary election.

The Adamawa native polled 1,585 votes to beat closest rival Tambuwal who polled 693 votes.

Saraki was third with 317 votes.

Atiku will now be hoping to beat President Buhari in the February 2019 poll.
