“Boko Haram” bomb Gombe market as people shop for Sallah
July 16, 2015
The central market in Gombe, capital of Gombe state, looks like a war zone after suspected Boko Haram bombers detonated explosives there, Thursday evening.
It is the first attack in the state since President Muhammadu Buhari assumed power on May 29.
Reports say the bombs went off as traders and buyers hustled for Sallah profit and food stuff.
“They planted bombs in a vehicle and another one in a very busy section of the market,” a witness told local media.
The explosions occurred around 5: 00 p.m.
The casualty figure, if there is any, is yet to be confirmed..
