After spending 11 years on death row, a Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos has freed one Mr. Ganiyu Wahab.
He was discharged and acquitted on Monday.
A Lagos High Court had, on July 2, 2007 convicted Wahab for murder and sentenced him to death.
The alleged murder, of Kolawole Alaran, took place on January 23, 2005 in the Agboyi area of Lagos.
But Wahab is not going to be killed after the court of appeal set aside his conviction which, it said, was erroneous.
