“Apologise and resign” – Valencia legend tells Gary Neville

After Valencia suffered a scandalous defeat at the hands of ruthless Barcelona, a prominent voice has urged pundit turn coach, Gary Neville, to resign.
“I expected the coach’s resignation, as well as some apologies,” former Valencia and Spanish goalkeeper Santiago Canizares said after the Copa del Rey semi-final first leg.
“I may be ignorant, but I’m surprised he hasn’t.
“I thought he was honest,” he said.
Embattled Valencia coach Gary Neville had said he won’t quit after his side crashed 0-7 at the Camp Nou on Wednesday night. He described the loss as “one of his worst experiences” in football.

The night saw Neville’s side bow to three goals from Messi; four from Suarez. It would have been eight had Neymar converted his kick from the spot.
The La Liga strugglers were left more vulnerable after going one man down just before the break. But they were already three goals down before the red card blow.
Valencia are yet to record a La Liga win since Neville left punditry to take charge of the club in December.
Canizares criticised Valencia management for not firing Neville despite the poor run of form..
