Anglican priest forbids wedding before traditional marriage in his diocese
The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Anambra State, Rt Reverend Samuel Ezeofor has disclosed to church worshipers during a thanksgiving service that intending couples who had planned to have their wedding in Anglican Church before their traditional marriage, will not be able to do so again.
According to Vanguard, Reverend Ezeofor urged would-be couples to first observe the traditional marriage rites before wedding in the Church.
Ezeofor also took advantage of the thanksgiving service to counsel church worshipers to take active part in the nation’s electoral processes.
“Eligible voters should go and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards in order to exercise their franchise during the 2019 general elections and subsequent ones in the country,” he said.
