Alien ALERT: Human lives at risk as over 7000 “foreign” camels invade Nigeria
Thousands of undocumented aliens have made their way into Nigerian territory, the police said on Friday.
The aliens are camels from Sudan and Mali. At least 7000 of them are somewhere in Jigawa State after crossing from their countries into Nigeria.
State police spokesperson Abdul Jinjiri said the alien camels could invade farms, trample crops and urinate on farm produce.
Jinjiri said camel urine, which some people actually love drinking (WHO warns against this), could cause poor crops yield.
Vice Chairman of Dutse Local Government Council chapter of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Auwalu Tahir, told Daily Trust many farms could be affected if the alien camels are left unchecked.
Camels are known to endanger human lives. They block vehicular traffic. They also run at speeding cars resulting in collisions that endanger human and camel lives.
At least 11 local government areas in Jigawa face this alien threat.
Police already convened a meeting with farmers and herdsmen who have been mandated to identify the owners of the camels.
The aliens could be arrested and deported.
