Alex Okosi Inducted into Saint Michael’s College’s 2023 Hall of Fame
Alex Okosi, Managing Director, Google Africa has been inducted into the esteemed Athletic Hall of Fame at his alma mater Saint Michael’s College in Vermont. The induction was announced at a reception held on September 22, 2023 at Saint Michael’s where he was a former men’s basketball and academic standout.
During Okosi’s playing career at Saint Michael’s, the school won over 60% of its games including a berth to the NCAA Division II Tournament in his junior year. He was a team captain in his final year and graduated Magna cum laude with degrees in business administration and economics in 1998.
25 years later, Okosi joins the Saint Michael’s College 2023 Athletic Hall of Fame class alongside Peter Culhane ’61, two-time conference skiing champion; Drew Best ’04, NCAA Championship-qualifying men’s cross country runner; Ashley Harkins ’09, record-setting and two-time all-league first team softball player and the historic 1983 women’s skiing team. His Hall of Fame induction is another milestone in his remarkable journey from the basketball court to the global business stage as an influential figure in the media and technology space.

It brings back cherished memories of my time as a student-athlete at Saint Michael’s and underscores the importance of the values I learned at the school that continue to shape my life and career.”
Okosi holds the distinction of graduating magna cum laude with a dual major in Business Administration and Economics from St. Michael’s College. In 2022, for the second consecutive year, he was included in the UK Powerlist which highlights the 100 most influential people of black heritage in the United Kingdom.
