A 400l student of University of Uyo, Obongodiong Ikpe has narrated his close shave with death after his room’s ceiling fan detached from its hold and fell while he slept.

The fan fell just few feet away from Ikpe.

The incident, according to Ikpe who shared his lucky escape on Facebook, happened at M2 Hostel around 5:38am on Saturday.

According to the final year student of Accounting, it was God’s divine intervention as he would have slept at the spot of impact, had his roommates not been away.

Ikpe said he had only changed his sleeping arrangement because one of his roommates had fallen ill and the other attended a church program.

“All things work together for good for them that loved the Lord. ‘Cos when Victor Ekeng became sick and was hospitalized (due to be discharged this morning) and Ekemini Wholesome went for a church program last night, I never knew It was part of your plans to rearrange my sleeping position and save me from imminent danger,” he shared.
