Again! Police rescue 10-year-old girl chained for stealing N4,000

A 10-year-old girl chained by her aunt has been rescued, police in Ogun state have said.
The police, acting on a tip-off by residents, found Promise Udeh chained in an uncompleted building in Adigbe area of the state capital, Abeokuta.
The acting Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said she was allegedly chained by her aunt, Chiamaka Okafor, who accused her of stealing N4,000.
Oyeyemi said Chiamaka was currently on the run but her husband, Sunday Okafor has been arrested.
He added that Udeh had been transferred to Stella Obasanjo Motherless Home in Abeokuta.
