“African prince” gets 7-year jail term for sexually exploiting underage girls in London
A 27-year-old Nigerian, identified as Taheeb Udusole, has been sentenced to serve 7-years in prison by a UK court.
Taheeb had been found guilty of luring underage girls with gifts and money in a bid to sexually exploit them.
According to Evening Standard, Taheeb had posed on social media as a 17-year-old boy named Daniel whose father was an African king.
Two girls, aged 14 and 15, who thought “Daniel” was their boyfriend, independently reported Taheeb to the police.
He was arrested last May.
The accused pleaded guilty to one count of sexual activity with a 14-year-old and two with a 15-year-old during his arraignment at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Monday.
The judge handed down a 7-year sentence on Taheeb, while he also received a Sexual Harm Prevention Order [SOPO].
He will be deported at the end of his sentence.
Detective Sergeant Laura Hillier, the investigating officer, urged victims of Taheeb’s illicit acts to contact the police.
“Taheeb Udusole is a predator who claimed that he believed the girls were adult because neither arrived in school uniform. Both girls had told Udusole their age and he continued to force them to have sex regardless,” Hillier said.
“Unaware that they were victims, these girls have gone through a traumatic experience and should be proud of the strength of character they have shown during the investigation and approaching trial. I hope that today’s sentence brings them a measure of comfort and closure and that they can move on with their lives.”
