Adebo Ogundoyin: Nigeria’s youngest state assembly speaker wins re-election in Oyo

The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, has been returned as member representing Ibarapa East State Constituency seat under the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).

The returning officer, Prof John Oyinlola Oladeji, declared him the winner of Ibarapa East State Constituency Election after he polled a total of 10,039 to defeat twelve other candidates.

According to the final results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Aderounmu Adebayo Adeolu, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), polled 7111 votes while the Accord Party candidate, Oladeni Olubayo Tunde got 2724 votes.

“Hon Adebo Ogundoyin having scored the highest number of votes in the Ibarapa East State Constituency election is hereby declared the winner of the election,” Prof John Oyinlola Oladeji said.
