Abia: University dropout says he joined secret cult to secure employment

Chinedu Emenike, a suspected cultist has confessed to joining a cult when he was still in the university to enable him to gain employment after he graduates.

According to reports, the suspected cultist was caught and arrested by the internal security of the Micheal Okpara University of Agriculture and handed over to the police operatives of the area command.

He allegedly confessed to being in a cult at the Abia State Commissioner of Police while he was being paraded. After being caught Emenike said it was the devil’s handiwork.

The suspect said he was in the Aye Confraternity, and that even when he left the higher institution due to lack of finances, he still stayed in the cult group to help him get a job through the connection of the cult.

He said ‘‘ I am a member of the Aye Confraternity and a former student of the River State Polytechnic. I joined the cult group so that our men can help me with a job upon graduation. But I did not graduate because of money, my parents did not have enough money to sponsor me through school, that was why I dropped out.
