2019 Election: Makarfi declares ambition for presidency

The race for the presidential seat is getting heated, as another contestant has declared his ambition to run in 2019.

Former Kaduna State governor, Senator Ahmed Makarfi has said he has decided to seek the party’s nomination to contest the poll.

Makarfi said Sunday night: “after wide consultations with party men and women as well as other major stakeholders.”

Makarfi’s declaration to run under opposition party, PDP’s umbrella will see him go head to head with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for the party’s sole ticket.

Senator Makarfi was the past Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party.

So far, President Muhammadu Buhari, Atiku, former Cross River State governor Donald Duke, Fela Durotoye, Sahara Reporters’ publisher Omoyele Sowore have all declared their ambition for the presidential seat.
