2019 Election: Atiku promises cabinet before May 29, as Peter Obi emerges Vice

Peter Obi will campaign beside Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 election year, it has been announced.

The former Anambra State governor was reportedly chosen after series of consultations and deliberations by stakeholders in the PDP party.

Senator Ben Murray-Bruce said in a congratulatory tweet directed at Obi that he would, with Atiku, lift Nigeria to a desired position among other countries in the world.

“Congrats my friend and brother, Mr. Peter Obi on your selection as vice presidential candidate to H.E Atiku. Without doubt, this is a solid team that will lift Nigeria to her rightly place amongst the assembly of nations,” Murray-Bruce said.

Shortly after the declaration of Obi as Atiku’s vice, the presidential candidate promised that unlike Buhari, he would name his cabinet before the swearing in ceremony, if he is elected President.

“If Nigerians elect me as their President, I will NOT take 6 months before naming my cabinet. My cabinet will be ready before May 29, 2019, if by the grace of God, you elect me. Our country needs a decisive leader to Get Nigeria Working Again,” Atiku said in a tweet Friday evening.
