2 toddlers die, 2 others in critical condition after being trapped in abandoned car
A boy, 3, and a girl, 2, have died of extreme heat after being trapped in an abandoned car in Clermont, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
The two toddlers were playing with two other friends in the car. The other two are reportedly in critical condition in hospital.
An emergency service spokesperson said the quartet were found unconscious in the abandoned car after which they were rushed to the local community health centre.
“Two of them were declared deceased at the clinic,” the spokesperson said.
The two survivors remain in critical condition..
