14-year-old cult boy murdered by rival group in Bauchi

Some suspected cultists caused mayhem in Yelwa, Bauchi on Tuesday during the burial of a slain 14-year-old member.

Northern City reports that the deceased was attacked and killed by a rival gang on Sunday after he was tracked to an event named “Facebook Hangout”, which held in E4 Resort along the Bauchi-Dass Road.

His members reportedly stormed the Christian Cementary Yelwa to disrupt the burial. They insisted that his killers must be fished out before the burial is done.

Some security operatives who were deployed to the area, however, ensured that the burial was done.

Police spokesperson in Bauchi, DSP Kamal Abubakar Datti, is quoted as saying that seven suspects connected to murder has been arrested.

“The unrest that emanated today (Tuesday) during the deceased’s burial in the Yelwa area of the metropolis was caused by some irate youths,” Datti is quoted to have said.
