11 escape death as Bristow helicopter crash lands enroute Port Harcourt

A Bristow Helicopter, on Wednesday, disappeared from the radar minutes after taking off from Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos.
The aircraft 5N BJQ was heading to Port Harcourt with 11 people on board, two of them part of the crew. Other reports say there were 13 people on the aircraft.
We heard they are safe.
Bristow confirmed to NewsroomNG “there was an incident with the aircraft but it’s not a crash.”
We later gathered the aircraft crash landed after developing a fault while flying at 1,500 feet.
The Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) confirmed the incident but has not given details.
Bristow also says it doesn’t want to provide graphic details of the incident till it has collated its findings.
“We are collating information on that and we’ll let the public know when we’re done,” Bristow told NewsroomNG.
A Bristow helicopter crashed into the Lagos lagoon August 12, 2015. The chopper was co-piloted by 26-year-old Nigerian Peter Bello who died in the tragedy.
Joseph Wyatt the American captain of the chopper and four passengers aboard the aircraft also died.
