Zimbabwe: Mother allegedly kills daughter over boiled eggs
A Zimbabwean woman has landed in trouble after she reportedly hit her daughter with a wood, casing her death.
The woman, identified as Mercy Marigo, hit her daughter, Tapuwanashe with a burning log of wood for cooking eggs, Zimnews reports.
According to neighbours who witnessed the incident, Tapuwananshe had cooked two eggs for breakfast without her mother’s consent, an act which triggered the attack.
The girl reportedly slumped after being hit on the head.
Marigo, realising the gravity of her action, rushed her unconscious daughter to a nearby hospital but it was too late, as the girl was declared dead.
Police have arrested the woman and she is awaiting trial, reports say.
