Youths hack 13 suspected cultists to death for killing bike rider in Benue
At least thirteen suspected cultists were killed on Saturday by some youths in Lessel community, Benue State.
The suspects were reportedly linked to the murder of a bike rider in the community. They allegedly killed the rider while trying to dispossess him of his motorcycle.
Angry youths who got wind of the incident mobbed the suspects at the guest house where they had reportedly gathered for a meeting. Over a dozen of the suspected cultists were hacked to death in the process.
Police reportedly arrived later to rescue other suspects from being lynched to death and to restore peace in the area.
